the reason I didn't publish it earlier was because I needed to do some final tweaks, but somehow that ended up getting pushed back with other projects I wanted to do. But I finally reformatted it for web viewing this year. Better late than never i guess

Due to ongoing issues with the site I'm going to make this my last artfight. A tl:dr, tons of site mis-management has come to light over the past year or so and even if the event somehow runs next year It's finally driven me off.

I was giving it the benefit of the doubt bc I am in it for gifting art (hence why i was hesitant/unsure about participating at first) but the recent news of a mass mod exodus + Takaia pocketing funds / not paying the site's staff doesn't really sit well with me (especially because the currently appointed mods haven't been the greatest with the community

I am going to finish up my revenges though, but after this I'm gonna look for art trades & gifting games elsewhere...

I'll end this with a reminder to save the attacks you've recieved on artfight if you wish to keep them.

Extra notes:

• I might be slower or have inconsistent polish with my attacks! I have a lot to pull together in terms of life things & other projects. So I don't want to stretch myself too thin this year
• This year I'm still looking out for Megaman FCs (& megaman-esque characters)
• I have two more characters I'm planning on posting later, I just didn't get to making their refs in time (both of them needed a complete overhaul!)

BTW, I do have a pulse! but I've been mostly offsite & pre-occupied with schoolwork lately. Newgrounds ended up falling by the wayside in favor of my own site and *sigh* twitter. (but too be fair, my art tumblr did as well & on being active on twitter it's a case of "most people I know are active there").

admittedly school & other projects have been pulling me away from Newgrounds this month. Lets say, less 'personal' work more 'studies and other things i don't feel like posting' work? Plus my main personal project's been my website and I can't exactly dump my spaghetti code over here. But i'm still glad people are still giving me a follow even when I'm not around

Speaking of which, my website's been my main personal project i've been working on between classes this year! With social media & other sites collapsing (except newgrounds lmfaoo), and no one knowing what the next 'big social media' will be I've been spending a lot of time setting up my neocities. My current goal is to have it somewhere between "personal site" and "professional portfolio".

I want to use it as a platform & main hub for my art-related junk that's under my terms, my control. & Yes i'm using it as a portfolio because... well to keep it blunt I don't want it to be "generic square/carrd/wix template portfolio no.184892"

If I used a template like that, that kinda defeats the purpose of having my own site imho. And with how much I've been hollering about personal sites it'd be hypocritical if my main page was yet another square template.

Right now it's a little plain-er compared to other neocities art sites (still more maximalist than template sites) but more neocities-y things are coming soon. Such as;

• A blog page?
• Banners Page decor?
• Secrets??

With Twitter burning, and DA going off in flames too I got a bunch of new followers here recently so welcome!

I wish I had some new art to dump here, but I'm both busy with school stuff (mid-end of semester and all) + really drained from all this social media panicking & migrating.

But for those new here,

With Twitter on the brink of imploding, I want to spread out. Even if I don't plan on leaving that hellsite right now, I feel more comfortable if I at least have other places to go if I things truly go under & Mastodon being based around smaller servers & communities that's something I want to try out

I've started using RSS to keep up with a few artists myself, so I figured I'd add one as a means to notify people of major updates/new art and pages/etc. If you don't know what it is, it's basically another way of getting site notifs, but instead of going onto the site itself you use it through a reader (NG has a pretty decent intro on it)

& last thing I want to drop while I'm here is around the time I first started posting here I said I wanted to find a way to archive my old art away from DA & I'm finally carving out the time to do it in-between classes and other life things. That site's long gone down hill & especially in lieu of how unstable social media & artsites have gotten I figured if I want to keep my older stuff up "for archives" I should bundle it & have it up on itch.io or something (and honestly i don't want to flood here & any new accouts with art from when i was 15 lol)

TL:DR

• I'm actually archiving my works like I said I would over a year ago

Also, i think i'm gonna use this to post wips more often tbh. School's been slowing down how much art I can make/how often I can get on Newgrounds so I don't want people thinking this is a dead account lol
